Workshop Leaders

Sylvia Baldock – Networking Skills

Sylvia Baldock was born and bred in Glasgow and left school with excellent qualifications and pursued a career in nursing, midwifery and intensive care and was rapidly promoted to 'Theatre Sister' in open heart surgery.  With an intense interest in health and nutrition she started her own Health Food business and ran an independent shop and a franchise in House of Fraser, Glasgow. 

After moving to the south of England Sylvia worked in sales in the Pharmaceutical Industry where she had excellent training in sales/marketing and presenting.  This led her into 'Industrial Motivation Ltd' where she regularly ran breakfast meetings for senior executives followed by presentations to their board of directors and subsequent motivational campaigns within their organisations. 

After a family career break Sylvia took on the role of Business Development Director for Assured Future (IFAs) and it was during that time that she discovered the power of networking which led her to her current role of Regional Director for The Athena Network.

Sylvia is a born networker and has set up 12 very successful networking groups for business women in Bucks and Berkshire.

Susan Lock – Presentation Skills

Helen Wilson - Personal Image Branding

Helen Wilson pursued a career that spanned over 20 years as a Client Services & Marketing Director of an IT business engaging with their Blue Chip Clients.

She was responsible for creating the image and identity of the business and evolving it over the 20 years to a recognised brand within the Industry Sector.  Heading up Client Services, the heart of the business, Helen coached, mentored and empowered her team. As part of the ongoing and continual development, the Team went on the House of Colour Journey, this not only created a strong team bond but the best dressed department in the business!  Seeing the positive impact it had on the Team’s confidence, Helen worked with HR to implement the House of Colour Journey into the New Starter Induction Plan.  

Today Helen works from her Studio in Flackwell Heath and still gets the same sense of achievement with every client, knowing they look fabulous and hold the key for the feeling to last forever.
